Dr. Tesnim Khriji Chirchi is a social scientist specializing in political sociology, and holds a PhD in Sociology from the Université du Québec in Montreal. She taught sociology and anthropology both in Canada and in Tunisia and is currently a faculty member at the department of sociology at Ibn Haldun University.
Dr. Khriji Chirchi is a social scientist with extensive experience in research design and management, she is co-founder and executive Director of a think-tank in Tunisia, The Jasmine Foundation specialized in issues of governance and participatory development in transition contexts as well as in social science innovation for social change. She is also active in civil society in Tunisia and the MENA region on issues related to youth and women civic participation.
Dr. Khriji Chirchi is regularly consulted by international partners such as universities, international organizations such as the UNDP, Carnegie Endowment and British Council and local officials, political actors, and civil society organizations. She has delivered workshops and trainings for women and youth on participation in public life and contributed to several publications on youth and women engagement.
